Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will deliver more of what our members love, for less, by collaborating with other associates to meet member expectations.

What you'll do

1. Provide Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting the Company's products and services.
2. Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
3. Maintain the Sales Floor in the Tire and Battery Center according to Company policies by handling claims and returns properly, zoning, organizing merchandise, and managing shrink and damages.
4. Receive and stock merchandise, organize and maintain the Tire and Battery Center following company procedures, and complete necessary documentation.
5. Ensure safety by following all safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, handling hazardous materials correctly, and reporting unsafe conditions.
6. Operate hardware such as cash registers, process purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to procedures.
7. Assist Members with purchasing and service decisions, complete vehicle service requests, operate equipment safely, and handle merchandise and supplies appropriately.
8. Service Members' vehicles by driving into/out of bays, noting damages, performing automotive services like tire installation, repair, rotation, balancing, and testing batteries, and processing services via computer.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual wage will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Must complete all required training and assessments if hired.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the auto service industry or retail.
