Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our expanding team. If you have relevant experience, bring your skills to a fast-paced, welcoming environment and support our refrigeration and HVAC systems across local retail stores.

What you'll do

• Support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order system to document repairs and support store operations.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, following Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move ladders as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of related experience.
• Type I/Type II EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
