Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include inspections, cleaning, and repairs of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and in various temperatures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass MVR
• Vocational/Technical certification and 1 year experience or 2 years total work experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, or related

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets
• Use work order system for reactive repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance
• Inspect and test facilities to diagnose issues
• Complete safety training for equipment and tools

Compensation

The hourly wage range is $19.00-$35.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances. Total compensation depends on skills, experience, and other factors.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational/Technical certification and 3 years' experience or 5 years' experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or related; valid driver’s license; eligible for CDL.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year trade program, trade license, and proficiency with office software.
