As a Software Engineer III, you will lead the design and development of technical solutions for small to large projects by collaborating with cross‑functional teams including product management and user experience. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions while ensuring quality and timely delivery. This role involves coding, testing, and maintaining software components with a focus on scalability, security, and performance. You will also provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting business objectives through innovative and efficient software development practices.

The Customer Engagement Services Technology team develops advanced customer service solutions impacting millions worldwide. Comprising software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, the team focuses on innovative Generative AI applications within complex enterprise environments. As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Systems, it collaborates closely with product, business, and UX partners to deliver measurable business value. The team emphasizes scalable, secure, and maintainable software design while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence to support Walmart’s mission of helping customers save money and live better.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
