Position Summary... As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicates effectively and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Is flexible to the needs of the business, tracks goods, maintains in-stock levels, and controls shrinkage.
- Be an Expert: Maintains an in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provides meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping), ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment.
- Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Drives business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring quality standards for high-volume meat products. Eliminates waste, secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assists members with purchasing decisions, and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the members' experience and modeling high-quality service and products. Executes the basics at the highest level of quality, interacts with associates to understand roadblocks, and assists in training them.
- Compliance: Adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and applying these in business processes and practices.
- Work Management: Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources. Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Compensation
The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00, with actual wages at or above minimum wage. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, or work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months’ experience in a fresh production department. Must be 18 or older. Must complete all required training and assessments successfully.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Meat Processing Area is preferred.
