Position Title: Edge Band Machine Operator

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified Edge Band Operator with strong technical skills and a focus on quality production. If you have experience operating edge banding machines, a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and work quickly and accurately, we would love to hear from you. As an operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining edge banding machines to produce high-quality TFL doors and drawer fronts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate edge banding machines according to specifications and production requirements.
• Adjust settings and glues to ensure proper edge banding.
• Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including performing routine maintenance on machines.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; experience in wood manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters.
• Previous experience operating edge banding machines in woodworking or furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of edge banding techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes.
• Customer-focused approach to quality and service.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for 100% of work time.
• Frequent forward bending and side-to-side rotation.
• Ability to lift and stack finished components as necessary.
