Job description

Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you'll do
  1. Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing excellent customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  2. Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  3. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  4. Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, plan for profitability, and maintain a clean work area according to company policies. Ensure high-quality, high-volume meat products by eliminating waste, securing fragile merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and proper packaging and storage.
  5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, and executing duties at the highest standards. Assist in training and mentoring others, and recognize contributions and accomplishments.
  6. Compliance & Work Management: Follow company policies, procedures, and ethics. Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with team members, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to successfully complete required training and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Meat Processing Area is preferred.
