As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, educates other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, communicates effectively, and develops interpersonal skills for providing excellent customer service. Maintains flexibility to meet the needs of the business, tracks goods, maintains in-stock levels, and controls shrinkage.
Be an Expert: Maintains in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provides meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications, such as cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping, while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment.
Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology for making immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, always with the member in mind. Adapts to new tools and encourages others to do the same.
Be an Owner: Drives business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring quality standards for high-volume meat products, eliminating waste, securing fragile or high-shrink items, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise.
Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service and products, executing tasks at the highest level, interacting with associates to understand and remove roadblocks, and assisting in training.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by utilizing policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement and learning from feedback.
