What you'll do

About the Team:

The Software and Services Team at Walmart/VIZIO is dedicated to building robust, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. We collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that enhance user experiences and drive business success. As a Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the team to achieve our goals and advance our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage software development projects from requirements through delivery.
• Oversee the team's priorities, plans, and execution of tasks.
• Implement policies and processes to enhance throughput, quality, and visibility.
• Occasionally assist with development tasks, testing, and bug triage.
• Ensure high functional quality of the product and oversee the underlying design and code.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and 5 years in leading software development teams.
• Experience with Python and C/C++.
• Strong background in building solutions using generative AI/LLM and embedded systems.
• Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and cultivate professional relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to meet release timelines and maintain multiple active versions of a product.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00, with potential additional bonuses and stock options.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's in a related field plus 5 years’ experience or Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering. 2 years’ supervisory experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and 3 years' experience preferred. Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and inclusive design practices is a plus.
