Position Summary

Join Walmart as a Senior Data Analyst supporting field operations within the ambient supply chain network. This role is focused on improving how frontline managers operate by reducing manual work, automating workflows, and enabling smarter, faster decision‑making through data and AI‑driven solutions. You will partner directly with operations teams to identify pain points, translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions, and build tools that enhance efficiency across distribution centers. This position blends strong technical expertise with business acumen and stakeholder influence, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world operational problems with data and technology.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with field operations teams to understand workflow challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design and build scalable data and automation solutions to reduce manual processes
  • Leverage AI and intelligent workflows to enhance speed, accuracy, and decision‑making
  • Translate complex business problems into actionable, data‑driven solutions
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Perform data quality assessments and maintain ongoing monitoring processes
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, product, and analytics teams to implement solutions
  • Influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new tools and processes
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data analysis and visualization

The annual salary range for this position is $88,000.00–$171,000.00, with potential for stock compensation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field and 2 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field; a Master’s degree in a related field; or 4 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or advanced graduate training in a related field; experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce, or similar industry; successful completion of assessments in data analysis and business intelligence tools and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau).
