Position Summary

The Optician at Sam's Club provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
2. Manage the Optical sales floor in accordance with company policies, handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
3. Receive, stock, and organize Optical merchandise, following company procedures and utilizing equipment appropriately.
4. Operate hardware such as cash registers, process purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
5. Assist Members in selecting optical products and services, measuring, adjusting, repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, and performing pre-tests.
