Walmart is seeking a Pharmacy Associate to manage member purchases and assist in prescription fulfillment. This role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills to maintain the pharmacy's reputation and ensure compliance with company policies.
Processes member purchases by operating a cash register and related hardware, using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold. Maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating merchandise and supplies received from distribution centers and suppliers, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Maintains the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions such as pricing, creating signs, verifying on-hand merchandise, and ensuring a safe work environment. Monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfillment process, processing insurance claims, alerting patients to inventory issues, partial fills, and refill authorizations requiring pharmacist action. Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting with prescription fulfillment, processing insurance claims, and providing excellent customer service. Enters prescription data into pharmacy software accurately, fills prescriptions, and assists during prescription pickup by verifying patient information and logging sales. Completes work assignments by following policies and collaborating with team members, identifying priorities, and seeking continuous improvement. Complies with company policies, standards of ethics, and fosters a culture of respect, integrity, and service excellence.
