A leading retail company is seeking a Store Manager in Pennsylvania to lead teams, drive sales performance, and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, including supervisory experience and a focus on developing associates, ensuring compliance, and implementing operational efficiencies.
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a sense of belonging in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifies goals, builds accountability, and measures progress. Demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans, supports the Open Door Policy, and guides on applying these principles in business practices.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same. General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
