What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tour stores and provide feedback, communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage and support customer service initiatives, ensure customer needs and complaints are addressed, develop and implement action plans to improve deficiencies, and lead process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
Drive the financial performance and sales of the store by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring inventory, and developing strategies to meet sales and profit goals. Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties, while ensuring diversity and inclusion. Build relationships with stakeholders, support plans to meet customer and business needs, set goals, build accountability, and promote continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, uphold Walmart’s values, and support a culture of integrity, ethics, and respect. Foster a workplace where associates feel supported, valued, and included. Attract, retain, and develop talent, and act with integrity in all dealings. Deliver results with a customer-first approach, make data-driven decisions, and encourage innovation and resilience. Support ongoing learning and adaptation through new technologies and practices.
Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, education benefits, and more. The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable, with additional performance bonuses and potential regional pay adjustments.
2 years of college, or 1 year of retail and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience with supervisory duties. For firearms-related roles, successful completion of background checks and training is required. All associates must complete required trainings and assessments.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Leadership, or certificates in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising multiple direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, is preferred.
