Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and fosters a culture of belonging. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs. Builds relationships with key stakeholders, supports continuous learning, and measures progress toward goals.

For this position, the hourly wage range is $33.18-$36.06 plus differential, with actual pay meeting or exceeding the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional compensation may include bonuses and location-based pay zones.
Two years of college; OR one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience; OR two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, is preferred.
