Walmart is looking for a manager to lead teams, drive sales performance, and ensure exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective leadership, manage various store operations, and develop associates while complying with company policies. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community and outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses to align with sales. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and executes action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, recognizes associates, and fosters a workplace culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified staff to meet staffing needs and company growth goals.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and building accountability. Identifies improvement opportunities, measures progress, and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, supporting the Open Door Policy, and guiding business practices.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a background check and firearms training is required. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership, along with experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
