AstraZeneca seeks a Head of Strategic Initiatives & Operations in Boston to own cross-functional, above-brand initiatives within US Value and Access. The role reports to the VP of US Value and Access and is based at Alexion’s Boston headquarters.

You will create executive-level narratives and recommendations for leadership endorsement, lead or set up task forces on strategic initiatives (AI, launches, business reviews), and inform the market access organization of new capabilities to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of related/transferable experience in biotech or pharma.
• Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex proposals.
• Strong understanding of US regulations and policies.
• Proven ability to communicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.
• Knowledge of US market access landscape and market access organizations.

Responsibilities

• Create executive-level narratives and recommendations for senior leadership endorsement and cross-functional alignment of key priorities.
• Lead or set up task forces to tackle strategic initiatives (AI initiatives, launch ways of working, business reviews).
• Inform Market Access on new capabilities and innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead impact modeling of environmental shifts and marketplace dynamics on AstraZeneca's medicines.
• Act as market access lead on cross-functional initiatives with Strategic Account Leads, sales, Patient Services, and other teams.
• Ensure governance processes and major meeting schedules for Market Access.
• Co-lead annual operating plan development focusing on FTE and project spend.
• Lead market access-wide internal meetings, training and compliance initiatives.
• Manage market access budget activities with Finance.
• Identify interdependencies and ensure end-to-end visibility and alignment.
