Job summary

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a US Retirement Director to lead all aspects of BCG’s qualified retirement plans, supporting ~18,000 participants and overseeing ~$5 billion in plan assets. You will guide plan design and administration, partnering with senior leaders and teams across the firm.

You will lead a two-person retirement team, manage external vendors, and drive regulatory, fiduciary, and participant matters while coordinating quarterly committee meetings and annual plan reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7-10 years of leadership experience in US qualified retirement plans.
• Deep knowledge of 401(k), defined contribution and defined benefit plans, ERISA, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading complex analytic processes: annual calculations, funding, audits, payroll integrations, and participant transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors and advisors including plan administrators, legal counsel, financial advisors, auditors, actuaries.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with experience advising senior leaders on retirement matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead retirement plan strategy, design, and change initiatives considering regulatory and market needs.
• Oversee 401(k) plan administration, payroll integrations, funding, and participant changes.
• Direct compliance with Form 5500, Form 8955, PBGC reporting, audits, testing, and fiduciary requirements.
• Maintain and update retirement plan documents and governance records; coordinate amendments.
• Manage relationships with ERISA counsel, advisors, actuaries, and vendors; lead RFPs and contract reviews.
• Lead retirement governance with quarterly Retirement Benefit Committee meetings and annual plan reviews.
