Job summary

CIBC is seeking a leader for the US Security Services team to govern cybersecurity platform services across the U.S. region, driving strategy, roadmaps, and governance while ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and audit requirements.

You will review AI governance and emerging tech considerations, coordinate with risk and compliance partners, and guide service improvement in a fast-paced banking environment. Hybrid work with in-office requirements in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, or security service management.
• Experience providing governance or oversight across application, cloud, endpoint, or network security.
• Strong understanding of risk management, control frameworks, regulatory expectations, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience defining or managing service strategies, roadmaps, prioritization, and governance.
• Ability to work across a complex organization and influence multiple teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance oversight for U.S. Region cybersecurity platform services across application, cloud, endpoint, and network security.
• Drive accountability, control oversight, and operational discipline across the platform portfolio.
• Support audit readiness, regulatory reviews, and continuous improvement in control effectiveness.
• Define and maintain the service vision, roadmap, and priorities for cybersecurity platform services.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to align with enterprise standards.
