Please click here to learn more about our locations.**Job Description****Job Summary** The Pediatric RN in Surgical Services at Shriners Hospital for Children provides expert nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and a compassionate, safe environment throughout the perioperative experience. **Key Responsibilities*** The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.* Involves patient, family, and health care team members in formulating an appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.* Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family, and health care team members.* Ensures all components of the plan of care are documented in the patient health record.* Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care.* Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.* Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.**Required Qualifications*** RN License for current State**Preferred Qualifications*** Bilingual English/Spanish preferredThe pay range for this position is $47.08 - $70.62.
