Job summary

BakerHostetler in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an IP Specialist to support US patent prosecution from pre-filing to grant. The role is in-office four days a week.

You will file with the USPTO, manage dockets and reminders, coordinate with attorneys and clients on domestic and international matters, and maintain electronic and paper files. Strong Korean proficiency and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• AA degree from a two-year college or equivalent experience in patent filing.
• Minimum 2 years of patent filing and prosecution experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable with document management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret legal and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Support US patent prosecution from pre-filing to grant for Costa Mesa office.
• Prepare and file patent documents with USPTO and manage deadlines.
• Maintain dockets and generate status reports for attorneys and clients.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and patent paralegals on domestic and international matters.
