Job summary

Flatworld Solutions (FWS) is seeking an experienced mortgage underwriting professional with strong analytical, negotiating and decision-making skills for our Princeton, NJ location.

You will work in a fast-paced environment handling loan underwriting from initial review through final approval, with emphasis on agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA) and investor overlays. Collaboration with processors and managers is essential for timely closures.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to analyse large numbers of documents and data points.
• Attention to detail to identify anomalies among varied documents and data points.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong arithmetic and ratio calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite loans on client LOS for clients.
• Coordinate with Underwriting Manager to learn overlays and updates.
• Issue conditional approval and clear conditions with processors.
• Issue final CTC once all conditions are met.
• Review loans underwritten by peers and provide feedback.
• Perform quick QC on loans to check saleability.
