Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced financial degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in market access, payer marketing, or reimbursement, with rare disease experience preferred.
• Proven success in launching and optimizing access for specialty/rare disease therapies, including pricing strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a cross-functional team and influence senior leadership in biotech/rare disease settings.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills; resilient and adaptable with experience navigating complex payer dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all U.S. Market Access strategy efforts, establishing the long-term vision for pricing, reimbursement, and payor strategy across the portfolio.
• Shape the evolving access landscape by anticipating payer, policy, and competitive trends and developing innovative, insight-driven strategies to strengthen market leadership, expand patient access, and drive sustainable growth.
• Partner across Commercial, Medical, Patient Services, Finance/Accounting, Legal/Compliance, and Supply Chain to shape and deliver meaningful access strategies in cross-functional settings.
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing market access and pricing team, fostering a culture aligned with Mirum's values.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, influencing portfolio investment decisions, launch sequencing, and long-range strategy through market access and payer dynamics.
• Anticipate future healthcare policy and reimbursement changes, positioning the organization to mitigate risk and identify growth opportunities for patient access.
• Align Medical, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics, Patient Services, and Payer Accounts to advocate an integrated market access strategy.
• Represent the company externally at industry forums, advisory boards, and partner engagements to elevate market access leadership.
• Collaborate with the US Head of Payer Accounts and the Head of Patient Services on strategic account planning and escalation for high-impact access challenges.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including government price reporting, 340B ceiling prices, and government calculation requirements.
