Job summary

Mirum Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director, Regional Access Specialist. This remote Midwest-focused role drives reimbursement and market access initiatives, partnering with MAP, sales, medical, and marketing to ensure patient access for Mirum therapies.

You will educate payers and HCPs, analyze access data, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve access challenges while supporting the MAP program and patient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related field.
• 8 years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience.
• 4+ years in specialty products in orphan/rare disease space.
• 3 years in field reimbursement, patient access and support, payer account management, market access strategy and operations.
• Strong understanding of payer landscape, payer accounts, and market access experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Mirum stakeholders on account and territory strategy to maximize payer knowledge and MAP processes.
• Act as subject matter expert on reimbursement/access landscape for Mirum therapies.
• Analyze and share insights on reimbursement/access experiences for Mirum therapies.
• Provide targeted education to HCP staff on Mirum Access Plus and access processes.
• Support prior authorizations and appeals for MAP consented, on-label patients.
• Collaborate with MAP supervisor and HCP accounts on case management needs.
• Propose operational solutions to enhance HCP access experiences and collect feedback.
• Conduct access-related business reviews with high-volume HCP accounts.
• Attend weekly regional meetings and inform teams of access trends and enrollment forms.
• Support MAP Navigators through training and calibration sessions.
• Develop compliant, customer-centric reimbursement educational materials.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related field

8 years pharmaceutical or biotech experience

4+ years with specialty products in orphan or rare disease space

3 years in field reimbursement, patient access & support, payer account management, market access strategy & operations
