Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC is seeking a US Import Compliance Analyst to support nine NAM locations across Fresenius Kabi and Fenwal divisions. The role ensures import regulations compliance, manages documentation, and coordinates with customs brokers.

Candidates will work onsite at one of our US distribution centers or Lake Zurich HQ, with focus on SAP/ACE coding, cost analysis, and continuous improvement of trade data and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of customs, FDA, and DEA regulations and processes.
• Knowledge of FDA ACE import coding requirements is required.
• Experience with both US import regulations operations.
• Understanding of supply chain concepts as they relate to the importing of goods.
• A high affinity to IT-based solutions and applications, in particular SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support to Supply Chain activities for NAM locations across Fresenius Kabi and Fenwal Importer of Records (IORs).
• Adhere to formal control procedures and training, ensuring import regulations are met.
• Monitor and audit the regulatory filing performance of external partners providing import brokerage services.
• Manage Import operational Inbox and service levels for internal/external customers.
• Review pending shipment documentation for compliance and approvals.
• Assist in obtaining import permits as required in tandem with relevant departments.
• Liaise with external customs brokers to ensure accuracy of import documentation and declarations.
• Maintain Trade Master Data Management and Brokerage Databases; classify products for various government agencies.
• Manage record keeping and archive of import entry records.
• Support high-profile US import launches including Demand Planning and TPM.
• Identify and escalate US regulatory inquiries for management review.
• Process monthly cost allocations for duties/fees with U.S. Customs; identify anomalies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze international import brokerage networks to balance efficiency, service, and costs.
• Develop cost/value tracking metrics and present results for management.
• Support C-TPAT and regulatory change reviews.
• Perform audits related to import activities and train staff on procedures.
