Rising Edge Group in the United States seeks a US Financial Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting under US GAAP, internal controls, audit coordination, and regulatory and tax compliance for the U.S. business.

The Controller partners closely with Operations to maintain a strong control environment and support organizational growth. This leadership role collaborates with the Canadian Financial Controller to ensure the integrity of financial information, provides timely

Responsibilities

• Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Analyze financial results and provide meaningful commentary on variances, trends, and KPIs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and periodic reviews.
• Manage audit requests and ensure timely delivery of supporting documentation.
• Monitor and remediate audit findings and control deficiencies.
• Maintain documentation and evidence supporting compliance with internal control frameworks.
• Partner with business leaders to strengthen governance and control processes.
• Oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance processes.
• Coordinate preparation and filing of income, sales and use, property, franchise, and other taxes.
• Support tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and strengthen compliance controls.
• Build out US team to support business growth
• Lead, develop, and mentor accounting and finance team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices across finance operations.
• Support special projects as needed.
