Job summary

350.org is seeking a passionate US Country Manager to lead national program strategy, communications, and fundraising. You will grow the US presence, build strategic alliances, and guide a diverse team to advance climate justice objectives.

You will oversee donor engagement, reporting, and media outreach while coordinating with global teams to ensure alignment with international campaigns and budgets. This role is remote across states with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of experience in political organizing and campaigning.
• Track record as an effective spokesperson in public-facing events and media interviews.
• At least three (3) years of experience in people management and teamwork in diverse and multi-racial organizations – including line management, communications, and digital campaigns staff.
• Track record in designing and implementing (digital) communication strategies
• Strong understanding of climate justice, strategy and social movements in the US.
• A demonstrated application of and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI).
• Strong ability to think strategically and translate overarching strategies into department goals.
• Experience contributing to institutional fundraising, donor engagement, proposal development, grant reporting, and the stewardship of restricted funding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear messages.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.
• Experience with G-Suite

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term strategies to grow our US work.
• Research and develop national campaign opportunities that align with global objectives and engage US supporters.
• Partner with Institutional Giving and Individual Giving teams to articulate priorities and funding needs.
• Contribute to annual global fundraising plans by identifying priority areas for investment and opportunities.
• Provide strategic program input into fundraising proposals, donor presentations, reports, and other materials.
• Translate program strategies, activities, and outcomes into clear donor narratives.
• Grow the US supporter base and achieve 350’s individual giving goals.
• Monitor progress with key performance indicators and ensure donor-funded commitments are delivered.
• Serve as spokesperson for interviews, press releases, videos, and events when requested.
• Contribute to communications strategy and implement digital work for US campaigns.
• Represent the US program in donor and partner conversations and coordinate with global teams.
• Develop and manage US budgets and supervise team execution.
