Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Director of the Beyond Coal Campaign to lead fundraising, donor stewardship, and strategic campaign work. The role reports to the Senior Director for Campaign Strategy and supervises up to six staff across a national network of volunteers and chapters.

The Director will develop a theory of change, manage a complex budget, and represent the campaign to funders, policymakers, and media.

Qualifications

• Must have a proven track record of fundraising and donor stewardship across foundations and major donors.
• Demonstrated success in organizational leadership or campaign leadership and building aligned teams.
• Extensive budget management experience with delivering ROI for donors and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of campaign strategy, equity, justice, and inclusion in environmental efforts.
• Ability to articulate impact to funders and partners, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to engage partners and supporters.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising for the Beyond Coal Campaign and manage a pipeline of six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Steward donor relationships, provide updates, and ensure timely grant deliverables and reports.
• Oversee the campaign budget and resource allocation to meet strategic goals.
• Develop and execute campaign strategy with an equity-centered approach across national and local levels.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the campaign team and external partners.
• Mentor and supervise up to 6 staff, with performance objectives and development support.
• Engage with media and act as a spokesperson for the campaign.
• Travel up to 25% to meet funders, partners, and field staff.
