Job summary

Climate Interactive seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead operations, finance, organizational effectiveness, and fundraising systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will translate strategy into plans, budgets, staffing, and results to support focused growth.

This fully remote role within the United States requires strong nonprofit leadership, financial acumen, and people management to build capacity, align programs with fundraising, and ensure governance and compliance across NVF

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
Ability to translate strategy into effective plans, systems and processes.
Strong financial management including budgeting and forecasting.
Sound judgment balancing mission, capacity and risk.
Experience leading people operations and HR practices.
High emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder skills.
Ability to work with legal, finance and external partners.
Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities

Operationalize the strategic plan with clear workplans, resources, staffing and KPIs.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in collaboration with NVF.
Develop fundraising plans and oversee related operational activities.
Oversee people operations, performance management, and culture initiatives.
