Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. seeks a US Congressional Lead to develop strategies and advance engagement with the U.S. Congress. You will manage relationships with House and Senate lawmakers and staff, support the U.S. Global Affairs team in meetings, briefings, hearings, and engagements with Congress.

You will also facilitate collaboration with civil society and industry partners in alignment with OpenAI’s mission, and travel may be required from Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Capitol Hill experience with Congress and staff.
• 8+ years working with Republicans in the U.S. federal government (legislative branch).
• Strong understanding of U.S. government processes and AI policy debates.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to advance OpenAI’s engagement with the U.S. Congress.
• Manage relationships with House and Senate lawmakers and staff.
• Support OpenAI’s U.S. Global Affairs team in meetings, briefings, hearings, and engagements with Congress.
• Coordinate with civil society and industry partners related to Congressional engagement.
