Job summary

Reflection AI is seeking a hands-on federal affairs professional to lead our engagement with Congress and the Executive Branch. You will own Reflection AI's federal legislative agenda, drive strategy and execution, and build relationships to turn policy goals into policy wins.

You will manage the full lobbying cycle, monitor relevant legislation, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to advance our open AI policy priorities on the Hill.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience influencing legislative outcomes.
• Active, trusted relationships with policymakers.
• Experience in technology policy strongly preferred.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical subjects.
• Strong written and verbal communication; distill policy into clear messages.
• Judgment and ability to operate in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage policymakers across Congress and the Executive Branch on priority issues.
• Own the full lobbying cycle: identify targets, develop asks, schedule meetings, and track commitments.
• Monitor legislation and regulatory activity; flag inflection points requiring action.
• Develop and execute advocacy campaigns with cross-functional partners.
• Draft materials that land policy positions on the Hill.
• Advise leadership on political feasibility and timing.
• Represent Reflection AI at political events and manage external relationships.
