Founded in 2017 with a mission to stop criminals acting with impunity on the dark web, we have been involved in some of the world’s largest dark web investigations and have the most comprehensive dataset based on proprietary techniques and ground-breaking academic research.

Today we help government and law enforcement, enterprises, and managed security services providers around the world to illuminate deep and dark web threats and prevent attacks.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a US Accounting Specialist to join our finance team and support the financial operations of our US-owned, private equity-backed SaaS business. This role will focus on managing accounting processes in compliance with US GAAP, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting reporting and reconciliation tasks, as well as ensuring compliance in payroll, sales and state taxes.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of US accounting principles, experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close, and a keen eye for detail.

This role is currently open to candidates living and working in the Philippines, and will require some flexibility on working hours to communicate with colleagues in either the UK or USA.

WHAT WILL I DO?

• Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, billing, and collections.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and financial policies.
• Support bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Work with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience with US-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax compliance, and general accounting principles.
• Experience with state sales tax, corporate tax, and payroll tax filings.
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Xero.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a SaaS or private equity-backed business is a plus.
