Job description

We are seeking a Urology Ultrasound Technician to join a dynamic team working across two locations—3 days in North Adams and 2 days in Pittsfield. The role involves performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including operating room (OR) cases, in a fast-paced urological services department. You will need to demonstrate independence in obtaining high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes while adhering to patient care protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct urological ultrasound exams in both clinical and OR settings.
• Prepare patients and ensure high-quality imaging for physicians.
• Work independently to handle PACs (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and hospital information systems.
• Assist with OR cases and adapt to potential changes in work hours.
• Maintain and utilize sterile techniques, including setting up sterile trays.
• Lift and move patients and equipment regularly to ensure proper care.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: 3+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Sonography Technology Program.
• Must obtain ARDMS or ARRT registry within 2 years of employment.
• Additional diagnostic technologist registration and state licensure are preferred.
• MALIC: Massachusetts Radiography License.
• CPR Certification is required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in conducting urological imaging with portable equipment.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and setup for urological procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under high-pressure conditions and handle a high volume of cases.
• Strong physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move patients and medical equipment.
