Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing efficient, quality-oriented patient care by producing quality diagnostic ultrasounds to assist medical personnel in patient diagnosis in a timely and professional manner when ordered by a physician. Effectively coordinate the process for ordering the procedure and transmitting images to the radiologist. Ultrasound technicians operate ultrasound equipment, producing images of internal body structures for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for these procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current ARDMS certification required
• Valid and active licensure as an Ultrasound Technician in the state of employment
• Completion of specialized certificates in obstetrics and gynecology, cardiac, vascular, or musculoskeletal imaging as required
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels approved vendor

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Two years of previous experience preferred
• Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Professional image and knowledge of regulatory standards
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Working knowledge of relevant computer software
• No illegal drug or alcohol use in the workplace

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current ARDMS certification required
• Valid licensure to practice as an Ultrasound Technician in the employment state
• Ultrasound technician certification required
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels approved vendor
