Job summary

United Medical Systems in the United States is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support operating room procedures, equipment setup, and post-procedure documentation. You will work closely with Urologists and facility staff to ensure smooth laser-assisted treatments and patient care.

The role emphasizes maintaining sterile practices, inventory, and strong communication with partner facilities to coordinate schedules and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an operating room setting.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Prior Holmium Laser utilization for Urology procedures a plus.
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in accordance with Laser protocols.
• Move and set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in performing ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility at least 60 minutes before the start of the procedure.
• Submit complete and legible treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Review and maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule, patient procedures, and start times.
• Ensure after-hours contact at each facility for equipment issues or emergencies.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners and scheduling.
• Update and review Policies & Procedures manuals before inspections.
• Prepare equipment for transport and ensure cleanliness and organization.
