Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate patient care with other departments. The role emphasizes safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality while maintaining professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients.

Responsibilities include evaluating care effectiveness of teammates, applying clinical guidelines, and communicating clearly with patients, staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school and knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
• Licensure: current valid state nursing license. Driver's license required for Home Infusion.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to apply guidelines and policies and clearly communicate with patients, staff and the public.
• Basic computer skills to enter clinical data and access information.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
