Job summary

Mercy is seeking qualified registered nurses to join our care teams. The role emphasizes applying the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care, while upholding patient rights and confidentiality across shifts.

You will coordinate care with multiple departments and maintain accountability in line with Mercy Service Standards. Qualified candidates will have a nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) and possess an RN license in the hiring state or via a compact licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification may be required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification may be required.
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification may be required.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification may be required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification may be required.
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
