Job summary

Astera Cancer Care in New Jersey/Northeast region seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support Urology practices with clinical assistance to patients and nursing staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient-centered care and adherence to professional standards.

The ideal candidate holds a PTCB certification, is experienced with IV admixture, and has prior Urology experience. Pay ranges from $24/hr to $39/hr with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV admixing required.
• Previous experience in Urology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dispensing area, including refrigerator temperature log and cleanliness of work area.
• Maintain nucleus system and medication inventory through sign out, return and restock functions; manage orders and par levels.
• Prepare labels, calculate volumes and infusion rates; follow regimen name, frequency and cycle; compound therapies per mixing guidelines.
