Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Physician Assistant (First Assist) to support OR and clinic duties under physician supervision across multiple campuses, including North Bergen, Hoboken, and Mountainside Hospital.

The role requires First Assist experience, delivers patient-centered care, and emphasizes evidence-based practice, education, and collaboration with the medical team. Schedule includes Monday–Friday day shifts with weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under physician supervision with PA education and experience.
• Perform and document history and physical assessments appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Order, perform, and interpret labs and diagnostic studies with physicians.
• Manage medical and surgical conditions with knowledge of pharmacology and treatment options.
• Prescribe medications safely according to hospital policy and NJ regulations.
