Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Physician Assistant (First Assist) or Nurse Practitioner (RNFA) to assist, monitor, and manage patient needs under physician supervision, performing duties per accepted medical standards.

First Assist experience is required because the position includes OR duties. The main campus is Riverview Medical Center with other campuses including Bayshore Medical Center, Jersey Shore UMC, Ocean UMC and Eatontown Health and Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master’s or Doctorate in NP program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to NJ state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under physician supervision.
• First Assist experience required due to OR duties.
• Rounding in hospital and outpatient settings.
• Call coverage rotation; weekends and holidays as needed.
• Schedule includes four 10-hour shifts with every Friday off.
