The position is part-time with a competitive annual salary range of $30,000 to $90,000. A Master’s degree in nursing, active NP/PA license, DEA, and CPR/BLS certification are required, along with 1 year in urology and long-term care

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted NP/PA or physician license
• DEA license
• CPR BCLS/BLS certification
• Master's degree in nursing
• Graduated from an accredited NP program
• One year of experience in Urology
• Preference for EMR documentation experience (Sigma/Visual/PCC) training provided
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to stand/walk and lift up to 20 lbs, with computer work

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, exams, and diagnostics
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans per guidelines
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
• Educate patients on disease management, medications, and lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians for coordinated care
• Diagnose and treat urology conditions and infections
• Document encounters in electronic medical records

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and other urological disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
• Diagnose and treat residents with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
• Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using electronic medical record systems

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Urology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
