Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and support clinic operations at IU Health Urology. You will assist with rooming, charting, phlebotomy, procedures, and coordinating tests and referrals.

Under supervision, you’ll maintain EMR records, handle front-office tasks, and ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced specialty practice. BLS required; MA program completion discussed at hiring stage.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required for new hires after Oct 5, 2025.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding and EMR systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Chart preparation and review of patient records.
• Rooming patients and obtaining required information.
• Drawing labs/phlebotomy.
• Assisting providers with procedures.
• Communicating with patients via phone and patient portal.
