Billings Clinic in Billings, MT is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the Urology clinic. The role supports patient care and administrative tasks under supervision, collaborating with physicians, APPs, and nurses to address patient needs.

The position includes day shift, full-time status (0.75 or greater) and a starting wage DOE ranging from $17.15 to $21.44 per hour. Starting wage reflects local market and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete the MA Residency or obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Completion of required competencies, including Medical Terminology, and other entry-level training.

Responsabilités

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies based on patient needs and the specific type of examination or procedure.
• Assist with patient scheduling for appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures, and surgeries; help with registration and co-pay collection as necessary.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
• Assist with minor procedures and physical exams, ensuring proper documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Collect and label laboratory specimens according to clinic policies and ensure proper handling.
• Administer basic vaccines to eligible patients aged 18 and older.
• Maintain patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
