Job summary

Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana, is seeking a Medical Assistant I in Cardiology to support patient care and procedures, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and contribute to smooth outpatient operations.

Requirements include MA Residency or certification within 12 months of hire, and a starting wage of $17.00–$21.25 per hour DOE. The shift is Day, full-time with standard benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete the MA Residency or obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Completion of required competencies, including Medical Terminology, and other entry-level training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies based on patient needs.
• Assist with patient scheduling for appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, and surgeries.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
• Assist with minor procedures and physical exams, ensuring proper documentation.
• Collect and label laboratory specimens according to Billings Clinic policies and ensure proper handling.
• Administer basic vaccines to eligible patients aged 18 and older.
• Maintain patient records and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Maintain awareness of patient safety goals and follow protocols to support a safe and effective clinical environment.
