Job summary

Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to support urological services in a full-time office setting. The MA performs administrative and clinical tasks, greets patients, records vitals, assists with examinations, and coordinates care with physicians.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, basic lab tests, patient education, and accurate documentation. Prior MA training preferred; local Indiana practice environment with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6 months in a physician’s office desired; urology experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a clinical setting with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and clinical duties under supervision.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with physicians and staff.
• Greets and prepares patients; take vitals and sample collection.
• Explain medications, home care, and diet guidance to patients.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures and phlebotomy.
• Record medical history and update patient records accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist orientation and training of new personnel.
