Job summary

United Medical Systems is seeking a Urology Scrub Technician to support ureteroscopy and laser procedures. You will set up equipment, assist the urologist, manage logs, and coordinate with facilities to ensure timely procedures.

The role emphasizes equipment upkeep, inventory control, and safety compliance across multiple clinical sites. The ideal candidate has scrub tech certification and OR experience with urology, and will work on-site at hospital or surgical centers under HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• 1 year OR experience preferred.
• Urology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures per Laser protocols.
• Set up ureteroscopy/laser equipment in OR prior to procedure.
• Assist Urologist in ureteroscopy and laser procedures.
• Report to facility 60 minutes before start of procedure.
• Submit treatment/billing logs per HIPAA policies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment.
• Contact facilities to confirm schedule and start times.
• Ensure after-hours contact at each facility for emergencies.
• Maintain relationships with physician partners.
• Update Policies & Procedures Manuals and review before inspections.
• Prepare equipment for transport and cleaning/ disinfecting.
