Job summary

Dayton Physicians Network in Centerville, OH is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our independently owned urology practice. The CMA provides clinician support, patient flow management, and assists with procedures under physician direction.

Ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completion of a 2-year college or technical program, CMA certification, CPR, and 1 year of experience; 2–4 years preferred. CPR must be current or obtained within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a 2-year college/technical program in Medical Assisting.
• Medical Assistant Certification.
• 1 year of MA experience; 2–4 years preferred.
• CPR certification current or obtainable within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with patient flow.
• Administers medications and performs physician-directed procedures.
• Assists with vital signs and documents in EMR.
• Reviews and documents patient medical history and allergies.
• Notifies follow-up and lab results as directed.
• Documents all medical contacts.
• Relays physician instructions to patients and families.
• Replenishes supplies and handles waste per protocol.
• Maintains logs and supports professional development.
• Adheres to privacy/safety rules and Dayton Physicians Core Values.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Two year degree from college or technical school

Medical Assistant Certification

One year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant

2-4 years’ experience preferred

Current CPR certification (within 60 days if not current)
