Job summary

Duke Urology Raleigh Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Adult Benign Urology team in Raleigh, NC. You will work with attending physicians to collect and document data, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order labs and consultations, and provide direct patient care.

Primary hours are Monday through Friday, 8a–5p with flexible meeting clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners must have an MSN and NC NP licensure.
• Physician Assistants must be licensed in NC; Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and record data for physician review.
• Take patient histories, conduct exams, and document in the medical record.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
• Carry out procedures such as catheter placement and dressing changes; monitor patient progress.
• Participate in research projects and assist in teaching students and residents.
