Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Fairfield, OH. You will support licensed pharmacists with prescription preparation, labeling, data entry, and inventory management in a compounding space.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to laws, and patient service, with a 2nd shift schedule (4pm–12am) and fully onsite work environment. Prior pharmacy experience and Ohio registration are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Registered or Certified Technician.
• Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and prescription abbreviations.
• Understanding of pharmacy laws and ethical standards.

• Proficiency in basic math and pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• National certification (PTCB) is preferred.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Compounding experience is highly preferred, with sterile compounding being more advantageous.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for reading prescriptions and handling medications.

Work Environment

This position operates during the 2nd shift from 4pm to 12am. The role is based in a compounding (fulfillment) space, rather than a retail environment. The team offers a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where continued learning and development are encouraged. Dress code is professional attire suitable for a healthcare setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
