Actalent in Franklin, TN is seeking a Pharmacist to support prescription verification, fulfillment, inventory, and pharmacy workflow operations. This role collaborates with pharmacy technicians to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and shipped on time.

The ideal candidate will hold an active pharmacist license and bring strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication. This onsite contract position requires flexibility to rotate responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Experience in retail, mail-order, LTC, or specialty pharmacy preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to prescription accuracy.
• Ability to problem-solve and make timely decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with pharmacy technicians and helping manage workflow.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Must not be restricted by a non-compete or other contractual obligation that would prevent employment.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and prescription data for accuracy and completeness
• Perform the final quality check on prescriptions before orders are packed and shipped
• Ensure all completed packages are processed and shipped daily
• Assist with managing pharmacy inventory and monitoring out-of-stock medications
• Work closely with pharmacy technicians to keep orders moving efficiently through the workflow
• Help prioritize and resolve orders that may be delayed due to inventory or processing issues
• Quickly identify problems, make sound decisions, and troubleshoot workflow issues
• Communicate effectively and professionally with pharmacy staff and other team members
• Rotate between job functions and remain flexible based on daily pharmacy needs
• Utilize Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Franklin, TN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
